Video Optimization Basics: Part 4

SEO. I am sure you have heard of the word, but not totally familiar to the power it brings a person’s career or business. Decades ago, the internet was declared a dead-end business, they said it was nothing but a bubble, they all laughed at the concept. Guess what, it was the traditionalists’ worst mistake. It will show on Ms. Sally’s website that she in now connected or linked to Chloe’s site. The more backlinks, the better. 

Now say for example, all of Chloe’s website subscribers shared the same video recommended by Chloe since they trust her judgment. Wow! Can you just imagine how many backlinks would now show on Ms. Sally’s video? Cool huh! 

Google for example uses backlinks to determine the page rank of a particular website. Having backlinks grants more power that equate to popularity online, it displays other web pages that link to your posts.

Welcome to Part 5 of this article series! As you now know, assuming you have read and noted Part1-4 of this article series; that one has to be armed with the basic know-how on the most important things to consider, before creating any video for SEO optimization

While it is very true to always use backlinks and video sitemaps, for these all lead to a gold mine, we must not leave behind the creation of video transcripts. We are all familiar with Twitter and hash tags, the same can be done for video SEO marketing. The use of important phrases or keywords is vital in optimizing your video.

Jargon or complex words are not recommended. The average person must be familiar with the keywords you use in your tags. I cannot emphasize enough, know the keywords your target market commonly use when searching, this will make your tags specific. Loaded. That is how I would describe it upon doing a basic search for the keywords: Video, SEO and Optimization. The Internet is loaded with video optimization applications, all of which are user-friendly but at a very costly price. Whoever said decades ago that the Internet was a dead-end business is so wrong. We have leveled up to SEO, internet marketing and for a very good reason. Everyone is now online. Free WIFI at your local McDonald’s, state supermalls, Starbucks, now even the local hospitals have a Wi-Fi Zone to keep the patients from getting bored, waiting in line to see their physician for their weekly checkups. Businessmen have now expanded their marketing strategy, to include YouTube, Google, Facebook and Blogs.
